Sentiment of reading the book
<The Stupid History of Human Race>
The content of this book is not that interesting as its name shows to me. In fact, I don’t think the examples illustrated in the book is that funny as the author himself thought. Some examples is really stupid.
About half examples in this book are not carefully chosen. In a specifically period in the history, cognizance of human race is very limited because in such a period science is not well developed and religion limited people’s imagination too. We shouldn’t treated the understanding of people in that period as stupid or wrong understanding, contrarily, we should respect people lived in that period, for only “stupid” people still had some imagination in such a uncultured world.
Of course, the book is not neither rhyme nor reason, there are some wonderful examples in the books.
Because the price of this book is very low, only RMB 15.00, so I think this book is valuable for you to buy.
